So what?
Posted on July 25th, 2008 at 9:44 pm
that’s a big round of coincidences that’s for sure.
Posted on July 25th, 2008 at 10:09 pm
Dont forget Heath Ledger also never got to see “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus” which is to come out next year.
Posted on July 25th, 2008 at 10:12 pm
Apparently, Sir Jorge, you have no idea what a coincidence is.
Posted on July 25th, 2008 at 10:21 pm
And now “Dark Knight” star Heath Ledger can be added to the list…
Posted on July 25th, 2008 at 10:41 pm
Coincidences?
I think the only coincidental thing about these is the fact that humans die and actors are humans so sometimes actors die.
Posted on July 25th, 2008 at 10:54 pm
I know this is going to sound a little harsh, but with all respect to the actors:
Does anyone else notice the irony of some deaths and the titles of the movies?
“Queen Of The Damned” - she was damned indeed
“Silent Tongue” - he won’t say anything again
“Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner” - not him anymore, that’s for sure
“Somethings Got To Give” - her life gave..
“Dark Knight” - dark knight can be associated with the grim reaper
“Almost Heroes” - self-explanatory I think
“Gang Related” - his death was very gang related yeah
Posted on July 25th, 2008 at 11:19 pm
Coincidences? No. People die. It happens 100% of the time. 7 hundred thousand movies (according to IMDB) and a short list of actors and actresses who’ve died before their last movie was released. I don’t think that there’s any kind of conspiracy or odd coincidence here.

How much do you want to bet this post was made just so they could get in their daily dose of Heath Ledger. Get off the guy’s fuckin cock already. He’s mediocre at best.

Most of these people are boring losers.
Posted on July 26th, 2008 at 12:42 am
Mediocre at best? You must be a moron at best.
The guy made a Joker even better than Jack Nicholson, how mediocre is that?
Posted on July 26th, 2008 at 12:49 am
Really Brian? Mediocre? Maybe some of his other movies, but his performance in the Dark Knight was nothing short of spectacular. Just because everybody else loved it doesn’t mean you have to hate it. Idiot, show some respect.
Posted on July 26th, 2008 at 12:49 am
“HEATH LEDGER: His performance as the Joker in the summer blockbuster “The Dark Knight” earned rave reviews, died months before the film hit theaters.”
If there’s a sentence here, I can’t find it.
Posted on July 26th, 2008 at 12:51 am
@Brian:
That’s very cynical of you.
Also, I’m very interested to know which actors you think are good so that we may properly triangulate your tastes and decide if your opinion is worth a damn.

I think it’s a little cold of the author of this page to say john candy ‘dropped dead’ during filming, or whatever it was he said.
Heath Ledger’s death should have opened up massive lawsuits against big Pharma as well as the Hollywood suits who no doubt provided Heath with all these medications to ‘ease’ him for all the hard work he gave them. Instead they killed him and everyone hung their heads.
Meanwhile, ‘marijuana’ a.k.a. cannabis is absolutely impossible to overdose on, yet it’s illegal so the government can make up for the slave labor lost (1865 when the north won the civil war and outlawed slavery, much of which was for growing and harvesting hemp (a.k.a. cannabis)

Posted on July 26th, 2008 at 1:38 am
I agree about posting just to get to say “Heath Ledger”, but mediocre he was not. He was brilliant in ways most of us can’t fathom… That’s usually what happens. The bright stars (Whether Hollywood type or other types of stars)seam to burn out too fast. it may be 20 years before most of us really learn to appreciate the man and the art that was Heath Ledger. The same thing happened to James Dean. He was not a big star in life, and only by his death did we recognize what a true talent we had lost.
Posted on July 26th, 2008 at 1:43 am
Another one to add to this list would be Heather O’Rourke, who played Carol-Anne in the Poltergeist movies. She died before filming of Poltergeist 3 was complete, and they had to use a body double to film a final scene of the movie.
Posted on July 26th, 2008 at 1:48 am
Brian, I think you need to calm down and quit cursing. People have opinions, and it isn’t your place to judge them.
Posted on July 26th, 2008 at 2:20 am
I’ll grant that the Heath bandwagon needs to crash.
As talented as the man is, he is not the screen god his death has caused him to be portrayed as.
However, this list is awesome and informative, and thus in my mind seems more like an “inspired by” than an “excuse to”.
Great work, and great research.

Brian:
You are an asshole.
Heath.

heh,no but seriously, your right, shut the hell up about heath ledger already
Posted on July 26th, 2008 at 2:40 am
The Dark Knight wasn’t Ledger’s last performance, dipshit. There are 2 movies he was in that he will never see, the latest one will be called “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” which he was in the middle of filming when he died and the few scenes he filmed HE WILL BE IN

Adrienne Shelly died before “Waitress” came out, as well.
Posted on July 26th, 2008 at 3:43 am
O my god, several actors died right before or after releasing movies, it must be a conspiracy because no one ever dies while working. This has to be one of the stupidest things I have ever seen on the internet, and I’ve seen “Mr. Hands”.
Posted on July 26th, 2008 at 3:53 am
Go fuck you mother brian.
Posted on July 26th, 2008 at 4:00 am
You missed Chris Penn. He just died in 2006, during the filming of his last movie, Aftermath. Aftermath hasn’t been released yet, but I’m sure he won’t be seeing it.
He was mentioned “in memory of/dedicated to” in the credits of Vice, Rush Hour 3, and Jump.

WOW! what a coincidence, I’m sooo baffled right now, you blew my mind! They were all working up to the point of there premature death, unlike any other premature death of someone in any other profession.
There must have been a F-ing cosmic alignment or something!
Posted on July 26th, 2008 at 4:50 am
Brian, watch some movies! Heath Ledger had some excellent perfomances! How about “The Patriot” and “Broke Back Mountain”. Maybe the subject matter makes you uneasy (it your homophobic) but the acting was increadible. Also, check out “Monster’s Ball” and “Ned Kelley”, all excellent performances. Mediocre… I don’t think so. He was exceptional.

who gives a flying F about Heath Ledger’s last movie…..He’s always going to be known as a fudgepacker in brokeback mountain.
Now……
Posted on July 27th, 2008 at 1:03 am
Why is everyone so hung up about Heath? Yes his death was tragic and untimely, but people die - leave the man alone.
Besides, there are so many other great actors on this list, that yes, when compared to Gary Cooper or Clark Gable, Heath Ledger was mediocre at best.
Posted on July 30th, 2008 at 5:23 pm
You forgot Oliver Reed.
Also, did Orson Welles ever see the 1986 Transformers movie? Cos I heard that his last role was the voice of Unicron…
